Abstract

Hygiene and hand washing were valued post-pandemic. With the intention of innovating in the production of bar soaps, a study was carried out with different natural structuring bases associated with bergamot essential oil with a focus on aromatherapy. Gentle soaps using natural polymers such as gelatin and agar-agar were developed with the association of bergamot essential oil, aiming to ensure a climate of tranquility, emotional balance and a more pleasant environment in the personal hygiene routine. The research also sought to carry out sensory analysis and verify the performance of products during hand washing. The results obtained demonstrated the possibility of using natural polymers to obtain soft and smooth bar soaps. The sensorial attributes of the soaps provided an atmosphere of tranquility and a more pleasant environment in the personal hygiene routine.
